Meet Dr. Dyer

Bret L Dyer DDS MS

Dr. Dyer graduated from the University of Texas (B.A. in biology — 1984). He furthered his education at The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, becoming certified to practice periodontics in 1990 and continued research at the Dental Branch until May, 1991 to earn a Master of Science in periodontics.

His research on regeneration won several awards. He has published his research in the Journal of Periodontology and the Journal of Dentistry, both international publications, and other professional journals. His research in lasers has led to the FDA approval on the use of lasers in a specific periodontal treatment. He is a leader in the field of lasers in dentistry and speaks internationally on his research and techniques. Dr. Dyer is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.

A native of Lamesa, Texas, Dr. Dyer played high school tennis, took years of piano lessons and worked on his grandparents' cotton farm. He spent many hours in his father's dental practice and decided as a young boy that he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps.

Dr. Dyer has been married for 30 years.  His son is on ski patrol, a crossfit instructor and a white water rafting guide in Colorado.  His daughter is a student at the University of Missouri.  Dr. Dyer is an avid bicycle rider (scaling two major passes in Colorado) and loves to sail, garden and hunt.
